Yeah, I'm uploading another picture! Wild times!!!

In the past, I had teased the little creatures in my comic, which I had revealed to be called "the Daimon" towards the end. They didn't do that much, and perhaps it was a mistake to introduce them in the first place, but I sort of want to reveal some of the original plans that I had for them. Each daimon was meant to at some point fuse with their owner and reveal their form related to a deity. I felt like I should over time reveal what plans I was having, starting from the very end: Allistair.

With this one, I do confess that I originally had wanted to be very original and go for the Yoruba deity called Shango, but then I discovered that goats don't have much to do with said God, other than being sacrificial animals. Other factors also made Shango seem less fitting, but the respective Daimon was already a goat, so I started looking for a thunder goat associated with goats, and wouldn't you know it, there was one! Thor, the Norse Thunder God. Admittedly his connection to goats mostly lies in the fact that he had a chariot that was pulled by 2 goats, but I had consulted all of this with my Norwegian friend, who called it a fair connection to make.

Now as for the story behind this idea... I guess I had vague ideas that there would be more to Allistair than it would initially seem. I wanted to potentially write something incredibly deep sounding for him, where he perhaps had a brother who was a promising super talent, while Allistair got ignored by his parents, and had no ambitions for his future. Eventually as the comic would go on, perhaps he'd discover that he could be ambitious, but despite his super talent for machines and high tech, he'd settle on being a car-mechanic. This is why his iteration of Thor would be a pretty simple car mechanic (still wielding Mjölnir). Having the will to take on a new challenge!

Now as much I am writing right now, I can't claim that any of it was super definite or certain. Allistair was in every single activity "the last one on the list", so I never really figured things out completely for him. Don't take any of this to mean that this was meant to totally be there, and had the comic not ended early, you'd had seen it in chapter 14 or something. Even if I had gotten to it, it would have probably been different, and I'm just giving you all a glimpse into the general direction that I had planned... but you'll see more concrete stuff for the other cast members. This is just the first one!
