We all know Sans went Scholar for the easy queues and the free levels in Summoner. Just picture it:

The party is getting their asses handed to them and all hope seems lost. Suddenly, the lazy healer ducks out of combat and takes out a second grimoire. In a flash they summon an elemental monstrosity and make quick work of the foe with a barrage of destructive magic. The party sits there staring in a stupor while the elemental familiar dissipates and the healer re-summons their fairy pet as if nothing unusual happened.

I have an entire AU thought up based around an Undertale/FFXIV crossover. Save me.
