WOW. ;0 teach me the ways. this is so beautiful. what makes you choose those dramatic colors and highlights, like the ones on the left ear tuft? it comes out looking so perfect. I'd love to take more risks like that in my artwork.

Ahh thank you so much!! Haha I'm not completely sure myself, I just go with what looks nice to me. For this particular painting I did all the shading first and I tried to add more of a range of values, I focused on trying to have some really dark and light tones as well as midtones. I don't really know how to explain ahh ; v ; but I plan to make a tutorial at some point, hopefully it would be easier to explain with pictures haha.
