Oh thank goodness I've actually finally caught up on my art x.x no kidding this was the last of the 9 species I drew during my downtime while recovering from surgery back in November. I can actually move on to new things finally!
Anyway, if you can't tell what planet this species from its Karkarr. Much like the mammals there have 6 limbs so to do the birds, thing about birds there though is their clade is split into two groups: species that middle limbs are legs and front and back limbs are wings and species with front and back limbs are legs but middle limbs are wings. So here's a member of the former. Fladus are a decent size species with blue and off white plumage found mostly in warmer climates. They are herbivores eating mostly fruits, seeds and berries. Fladus are notable as a symbol of luck and a delicious meal, they're basically the Karkarrian equivalent of a quail and are often hunted but are occasionally kept as farm animals (It depends heavily of the Tenaliam culture of that area).
As far as behaviour goes they're actually decently aggressive much like most things on this planet it seems... they're known for trying to slash at things with their wings which each have a single sharp claw. Luckily they aren't known for attacking unless you get in their face so that's good news.
Lastly if you're wondering strangely enough despite being a very colourful bird with ornamental feathers males and female don't have any notable differences, they seem to have descended from a line of birds in which the female was actually the more colourful variant and over time the more duller males just became more and more similar to the females. Nature is strange.

As far as design goes look I can actually draw birds that don't look like feathery dinosaurs! Tempae just happens to be a planet with the most notable bird life but because they never took the flying niche birds on earth did they remain looking like what we call dinosaurs (even though birds are actually dinosaurs). Originally I was going to draw the other type of bird found on Karkarr (4 legs + 2 wings) but I couldn't make the design look nice enough for my taste. I put it on the backburner until a later date and went with a design I could get look half decent, though I did modify the casque and head size on this one from its sketch to look more cartoony/appealing.
