Entirety animal Species: Stardog by FamiliarAlien

Entirety animal Species: Stardog

FamiliarAlien

WHAT'S THIS I'M ACTUALLY ALIVE AND CAPABLE OF DRAWING AMAZING I KNOW!
So yeah officially better enough after about 3 weeks recovering to do digital art again though the next 9 species (that includes this one) were drawn on paper first. Stardogs were the only species I drew while in the hospital because it was a simple design idea.

So you may be wondering "wth is this and why does it have an English name instead of a woogoodudu type name you usually give your aliens?" Well here's a species with a kinda cartoony backstory.
As noted in the Entirety backstory humans have only been members of the intergalactic community in full since the last 1940s, so about 20 years before the story takes place a human team for the first time was invited to specimen collect on a forbidden zone planet.
During the inquiry they collected among other species this one which was unnamed.
This species was so layed back and nice that one of the human scientists didn't take the precautions needed to ensure it wouldn't wander off from the tank holding it so it being so small they couldn't find it very easily after that.
After a few days they managed to catch what they thought was it and put it back in the tank but this one was even smaller... then they found more... and more of them. By the end they had thousands of these things in their ship out of literally nowhere.
It turns out Stardogs are a hermaphrodite species which reproduction is brought on by the consumption of glucose which is a rare energy source on their planet. The one that escaped literally ate and entire box of candy and went into baby making overdrive.
Anyway usually the solution the UICA would take for something like that is to destroy these contaminated specimens but considering their size and demeanour they make for probably one of the best therapy animals ever so they were instead sterilized to prevent that from happening again and kept mostly at said headquarters. Since a human from the UK was the first person to find this species they were allowed to come up with a name for it and went with something cute and simple.

Also if you're wondering yes there's some inspiration here with tribbles. Its actually a mix joke between that Star Trek species and this hilarious attempt at an alien. I figure at this point I've taken inspiration from almost every single big name sci fi except Star Trek I needed to do something there!

So enjoy
Entirety and all creatures related to it belong to me

GOOD! They aren't really sold in stores but plush version would be in the Entirety universe so you could have one of those!

        I'll take two, please :D

lol, alright xP. Actually in all seriousness as rare as I do them I can make plush toys so assuming I can get my hands on some neon faux fur I could actually make a bunch of plushies of this species. I can't image it be too hard, their body is a super simple shape.

            Oh, really? I've always envied folks that can make plushies of their OCs or favorite characters ;_;

Yes really :3, Sewing isn't too hard to learn in itself, just figuring out how to make patterns is a skill that takes a lot of studying/experimentation. I'm sure you could get there if you tried!

I used sew when I was younger...sort of. I just got frustrated and was like, "screw this, I'm sticking with pencils" xD

Ah xP, yeah it can be a bit annoyingly difficult at times. One reason I don't plush often is because its really tedious to do at least by hand (I have a sewing machine but I've never learned how to use it).
