Entirety animal Species: Zenini by FamiliarAlien

Entirety animal Species: Zenini

FamiliarAlien

Poor Zenini, its sketch has been sitting in my Entirety folder since like mid December :slow:. I actually drew it at the same time as Tyrrk but decided to post it at a different time since I didn't want people to make too many comparisons between these very different flying creatures.
Anyway Zenini is a small flying animal of the planet Tempae and is regarded as basically a living fossil. It comes from an ancient order of skin breathers which basically slip off into several families one of which would eventually become giant flying apex predators (Rakka) and the other became non flying hyper intelligent arboreal herbivores (Ginaga). Yes, that does mean that a like the Tenaliam Ginaga did in fact evolve from a flying animal though unlike them it wasn't in very recent evolution (they've been grounded for about 80 million years).

As a species Zenini are omnivorous though they mostly eat insects and fruit, they are quite social and move in flocks. Unlike Ginaga and Rakka they also don't suffer of shitty reproductive abilities and actually are quite numerous and can be found in pretty much any warm climate on their planet. They actually use the coloration of their face/head frills combined with scent to attract insects. If you are wondering yes they can in fact be kept as pets but they're quite chatty and as social creatures requires lots of attention :U

As far as designs go I just kinda looked at both Rakka and Ginaga and kinda created what would make sense to be a not so distant relative of each. Also for the colours I once again used that random generator .

So enjoy!

Entirety and all creatures related to it belong to me
