Herpaderp, I actually forgot to post this here x-x

Imagine if there was an animal on this planet so notorious for killing the shit out of stuff they decided to just name it “Death”. That’s exactly what Ginaga did with this guy!

Rakka is the Ginaga word for death and it’s name as such for good reason: it doesn’t matter how much Ginaga adapted and got smarter to deal with predation Rakka continue to this very day to be a very horrible way to die and Ferron got to join in the fun when they decided to try to colonize the continent Ginaga lived on within their planet.

You see the good thing about these basically fucking dragons is they’re only found in a small area within a single continent in relatively low numbers on Tempae… that’s it, that’s all the good about these things. Rakka are large apex predators that have the intelligence around the same as earth animals like dolphins. Unlike many flying predators they don’t give a shit if they can fly off with prey. They’re well known for killing an animal way too big to fly off with, eating their fill and then ripping off a piece they can fly off with for takeout.

Interestingly enough Rakka are actually in the same genus as Ginaga, they’re actually very distant relatives. As such they breath through their skin which isn’t actually that great for flying so their neck has 6 orifices similar to nasal cavities for additional oxygen intake. Also like Ginaga they’re hermaphrodites with all individuals being male and female at the same time (so obviously no gender difference).

As far as designs go these were actually a creature I had design before I even had all the sapient species figure out so it was great to finally put it on canvas. The idea I had was basically to create a legendary pokemon but for the Entirety universe in the form of a powerful creature carved into the consciousness of an entire race simply for fucking up days.
