Entirety Species: The Kisob'ae by FamiliarAlien

Entirety Species: The Kisob'ae

FamiliarAlien

Yay, I finally got another race done! As I've mentioned before races generally have some kind of inspiration and this one is an interesting on indeed as it was an actual user. You see I wanted an alien race based on some creature of mythology but couldn't decide on which until ninetails kept doing her fox loving thing and it hit me "KITSUNE ALIEN!".

For the record I know kitsunes are known for have 9 tails and not 6 but as someone that has drawn and made crafts of such creatures before its a major pain in the arse shoving that many tails onto something's ass so I figured 6 would be just fine. Also Kisob'ae: the original weeaboos! They enjoy eastern culture so much that most dress in garbs inspired by those places, in particular kimonos though some wear clothing that originates from countries like China, Korea, etc...

Design wise I wanted them to look a bit like a fox in the same sense looking at Ginaga makes you think of humans but on closer exception you notice so many things that are completely off about it being that its actually turns creepy... in particular when you notice they're not wearing a mask and that's their actual face o_O.

On a last point the major villain in the Entirety: Darwin's Trial is a Kisob'ae though we meet enough nice Kisob'ae to not turn this isn't the "villain" species *grumps* no offense but I really don't like when sci fi make an entire species the designated villains.

So enjoy and feel free to leave feedback or a favorite if you want.

Entirety and all concepts related to it belong to goatlactic

Actually, Kitsunes are foxes with more than one tail. Sometimes nine, sometimes two, sometimes somewhere in between. ...Although that's just what I've noticed. I'm not sure if that's really the case.

:o perhaps! I usually see them with 9 but I have seen them with other numbers as well.

Also, I dislike inherent evil races too. Especially when the inherent "Evil Race" is every race but humans. I've always disliked the evil alien cliche.

ah, glad we agree there. That trope is rather annoying =n=; as someone else said on another site its basically validating xenophobia/racism considering its saying everyone except you is 1 dimensional and bad.

I love this idea! I've often wondered if maybe, stories of werewolves and vampires might have been personal holograms that glitched.

Agreed, designated villain races are rediculous, because RL doesn't work that way. A government might be hostile or expansionist, but that doesn't mean the people in that country are evil down to every last man, woman, and child...

:o perhaps! Who knows what kind of amazing effects they've caused on human culture simply by hiding out there.
Also glad you agree! I mean I get that kind of simplification on kids' cartoons because they don't want kids to be confused who are bad guys but when it shows up on shows made for teens and adults its like "ok at this point you should know people don't want on black and white morality where everyone of X race is evil. Why do we have species that are 100% bad all the time?" I mean if a social species was made up up of nothing but violent sociopaths it would go extinct x-x
