Once upon a time when someone saw my aliensona they made the offhanded comment that they didn't look very threatening for a kaiju which I laughed with them about it at the time because I didn't want to tell them he had an alternate form :,). The other thing I've been avoiding all this time was addressing the name of this fictional species because that kinda would have hinted at his true nature.

Anyway when I decided to bring back this design last year on top of a mild overall redesign I also changed its backstory, originally it was more a generic alien invasion kinda species but instead I moved him more into the realm of being a cosmic horror in the sense of something which true nature was unseen until it was too late. The reason it took so long to draw it was I kinda wanted to find a good balance between making the alt. form like a horrifying mutation of what it looked like previous but ya know... enough like his previous form it still was obviously the same creature. The most genius thing I think I figured out was how to give the design wings by using his tentacles which I had previously revealed were a thing in some earlier work.

There's way too many little bells and whistles to note that separate his usual more adorable appearance (officially named his "radiant state") and his collapsed state so I won't bother listing all of them here just if you have any questions as to what certain things are feel free to ask!

PS: I absolutely don't plan to draw this alt. very often its more for well... illustrative purpose and also to make sense of some of my sona's anatomy/why he's a nervous wreck despite being a giant monster. Will just say I am no fan of turning into a giant angry death monster (as one would imagine).
