Completely overworked it. I'm going to have to sit down and figure out some style and technique to keep me from overworking things.

Meh, when the tools you're using aren't really conducive to smooth borders/outlines you work with what you got. Still experimenting a lot with colors and the tools I have as I've never really done a whole lot in these (pseudo-)mediums.

I love your fur work :D
my critique about borders/outlines stands. for instance, part of the right eye gets lost in the fur around it because the two colors are similar in brightness. outlines could potentially fix that problem.
I get the feeling you're going for a style without outlines, but if you do, in my uneducated opinion, your shapes need to be smooth, bold, and purposeful. Right now, everything is kind of fuzzy.
Not just because the fox is a fuzzy critter.
