Nouveau Color (critique requested)

Exindiv

So here we can see my progress on the Nouveau project. I've started coloring this with my new tablet. Learning lots of things with this project. Lots of things.
Like the ink one, I will be swapping out the file on this as I work on it.

  • I'm just going to say it: I'm not happy with the fur. It looks a little busy. I tried smoothing it out a bit, but it's just not getting better. At this point I only have the hot air balloon and the pigeons and I'll be done with this project.
  • Well, I am finally "finished". This means I will not be making any more touch-ups or correcting any issues (of which I see many). I will now be moving on to something else. What? I don't know.... This has been a long project, and a learning experience all around.

I've been marveling at this since you started work on it. Now that it's colored, it's breathtaking.

"Breath-taking" is a bit much, but thank you. I really enjoy your comic; it's all wiggly and potentially swallowy and so darned cute.

You clever 'gator.... I wouldn't call it "fine art" but the hair did come out fairly well.

can't imagine really critiquing this. Everything looks fantastic, from the concept to the execution. the only fault I find is that I think the shape of the window is weird, and it draw attention to its own outline. it's not quite symmetrical, but for some reason, it feels like it should be.

But come on, look at the content inside of this. Impressively detailed, from the tail fur to the gear mechanism to the robirds! and your coloring job is equally fantastic. This is, without a doubt, commission-grade material.

I know this is a necropost at this point, but I just wanted to say I echo Buck's comments.

I could stare at the curls in the smoke forever.
