This is a painting made by myself and everyone who chose to participate in the interactive exhibit in MFM's first art gallery.
The painting is on a board-backed, black canvas. The image was made by first attaching an adhesive vinyl sheet to the canvas; drawing the image of the tiger onto it with a dry erase marker; carefully removing the areas to be colored from the vinyl sheet (essentially rendering the image in negative); providing acrylic paints for people to finger paint the exposed black areas; and eventually removing the remaining vinyl to reveal the painted image.
This peice was sold at the MFM charity auction.
