The asian giant hornet is known for its large size, aggressive nature, and its raiding of bee colonies--30 hornets can destroy a colony of 30,000 honey bees.

In TotH, the giant hornet is one of the ten main races, maintaining an uneasy peace with the other nine, especially their smaller rivals, yellow hornets, and their natural enemies, honey bees. Like a real hive, the race is almost all female, trained to use weaponry to deadly precision. The main protagonist above uses twin katanas.

A war is triggered between the giant hornets and the bees when one worker hornet kills a bee drone. Nikita is sent out as a scout to mark the bee's hive and call her sisters in for the attack. She is caught and promptly swarmed by the bees. She is nearly roasted to death, but her sisters arrive just in time to save her. After this incident, Nikita has some sort of awakening, which causes her to speak out against the queen. This is an automatic death sentence, but Nikita flees before she can be executed. In due time, she becomes public enemy #1 among both types of hornets and the bees.

I'm still not sure which style I want to color her in--either way, the lines are a too thick :P
