So while I was in the hospital (reasoning here) I was only allowed one visitor, and the visitor couldn't be rotated, and couldn't be under 18. Of course that visitor was my husband Mewrei. This meant that my son couldn't come see me or his new baby brother for a few days.

I'll be honest here in that I think this was a completely stupid measure taken for the Covid-19 pandemic, and I'm not going to pretend that it served any good other than giving new moms some much needed rest from feeling as though they have to entertain guests after going into labor. My son should have been allowed to come see his mum, and his baby brother. I don't blame the hospital or the workers (they were wonderful), I blame the stupid measures, including the mask requirements, to combat this Covid-19 stuff. Even the staff thought it silly. I'm 100% sure that's an unpopular opinion here, and that's okay. I'll be hiding argumentative comments because I'm sure someone wants to argue with me over it. It isn't up for discussion. (My opinion that is). The ridiculous amount of hoops people want to jump through to justify this stuff is, well, ridiculous. Here is an example for you. I had to be tested for Covid-19 (tested Negative by the way), and if I had tested positive I would have had to wear a mask while giving birth. But Mewrei (husband) was never tested, and he was in the same room and also held baby. Absolute security theatre.

With that being said, I missed my Littlerei, I ended up sending Mewrei home both nights I stayed so Littlerei could at least see one of us (it was his first time having a sleep over, and surprise surprise he didn't do to well on the sleeping part). When he first saw me he laid on the floor and cried because I couldn't hold him, poor thing. We got video lol, with Mewrei saying 'Just so you know Littlerei, this is how you reacted to not seeing your mom for two days'. Once I got to hold him I became a big tissue for the kid (nuzzles and using my shirt for a tissue).

As for seeing his brother, he's super shy at seeing Littlerrei. Smiles and turns his face away whenever we hold brother close to him. Super cute!
