Muscovy Grackle Sketch by Evianrei

Muscovy Grackle Sketch

Evianrei

Just some from memory sketches of the local birbs I see on my walks I've been taking. We've got a female muscovy duck on the bottom, and a sassy male grackle up top.

I actually find muscovy ducks to be very pretty, and there are a ton down where I walk. Recently there have been many bb ducks, my son Littlerei also likes them and it is one of the few words he knows. 'DUH!' what does the DUH say? 'cak cak cak!' Yes, quack quack quack. Super cute.

Grackles are very loud and proud birds. Back when I lived in Maine seagulls were the sassbirbs (and somehow in a landlocked state we still have seagulls in some areas, but they aren't the same), but here we've got the mini peacock and laser imitator, the Grackle. Females are brown, but the males are like an iridescent blue purple black? Loud little beeps! Best video I could find linked but man, they can make a much bigger variety of noise than what's shown there.

Maybe next time I'll sketch from references. My new tablet should arrive next week and it should be good practice.
