My gift to my mom this Christmas, a watercolor painting that's a redo of an old concept I painted for her in 2003! Her last name means "Little Bear"in Italian, and so our family has always kind of taken the bear as our symbol. When my grandfather passed away, I had painted a bear portrait for my mom incorporating roses, his favorite flower. He taught his children appreciation of nature and gardening through tending his roses. His middle name was Rosario as well, which means "Rose". I've been promising for years to repaint that original concept in that old painting, and I'm glad I finally got to. I love my family very much, and I am so glad to be able to do art for them when I can.

6" X 8.5" Watercolor and acrylic ink on watercolor paper

Thank you so much! She loved it, and now has some current art from me to hang up on her wall. ^^ I am an adult, but it still pleases that little kid part of me when my mom congratulates me on the nice picture and hangs it up.

Yeah, I know the feeling! I draw my mum something every year for mothers day of an animal with it's young (choosing from animals she likes) and she prints and frames them all ^^
