Last week WinerSoulsent me this pencil drawing and short story of my character Nym, and her character Lumi! I liked it so much, I asked permission to put some basic color and textures on it, to make it look like an old storybook illustration. The short fable goes;
"One morning, Nym woke to find a mysterious flower blooming nearby. A curious voice floated from the flower to her ears, "drink me!" This appeared to be an awfully foolish idea, obviously the best choice was to brew this flower in a cup of tea. Wait. What?! Where was Nym's mind? No longer in the physical, that's where. Before her, hanging upside down was a cat shrouded in clouds, tea dripping from her cup. What a waste, this cat could use a lesson or two in the consumption of tea.
One morning, Nym woke from a dream with a disturbing question on her mind. How many cats out there know not how to drink tea?

Such a beautiful drawing by the artist and an adorable story. As for your part, the colouring is very effective. I always love digitally coloured sketches. They have a very bold and beautifully textured appearance.
