Every now and then I'll get someone asking about Rou's species... And that's a bit of a question haha. In all technicality, Rou's a forest spirit, the embodiment of trees and nature. Specifically deciduous forests. I just call him a forest spirit or a dragon for shorthand, but he's inspired by a few other animal species.

He's got ferrety toes, kinkajou tail and body, kangaroo ears, scaly bird skin, antler-like horns, and a skull that's somewhere in between a bear and a dog. He's got a lot to him and he means a lot to me, so I'd appreciate if people didn't go off making lil' Rous of their own.

(The animals are probably not to scale; I didn't put a whole lot of effort into them)
