I love the idea of being a pokemon. And there's something strangely appealing about belonging to a pokemon trainer. To have someone care for me as I fight for them using some really neat superpowers. Sure, I'd risk getting hurt. I don't like getting hurt, and I'm sure if I found myself in a pokemon battle for real, I'd sing a different tune. But I can't help but fantasize about it.
While I wouldn't mind being in a more traditional pokemon world, with humans and pokemon, I think it would be fun to be in a furry version of that world. Ginger, here, could be my trainer. It'd be a good fit, too! Me, a hybrid of nidoran and dragon, and Ginger being a hybrid of goat and malamute.
Is this canon? Eh, maybe more of a "what if". I said I wanted to feature Ginger in more art, and thanks to a two-character raffle by chadmeister, this was a good opportunity. And wow, did this turn out nice! The shading looks so soft. This also really puts into perspective how small I am in my nido form, to be held in someone else's arms like that. Oh, now nice this would be.
Ginger is wearing a Japanese seifuku. Did you know that's what it's called? I sure didn't. But I asked chadmeister to give Ginger an outfit appropriate for a pokemon trainer, and this is the result. I, of course, am wearing my glasses and oriental lily (a Sorbonne), both of which are regular accessories in my nido form.
