Meet Rexy.
He's a young raccoon kit who got a lovely present for his birthday from his doting if eccentric Auntie Squirrel. It was "My First Archery Set"!
On sunny weekends in the forest, he'd totter over to the tree trunk and stick a little target on and assume the position. Of course, the first few sticky arrows flail wildly off course, hitting pine cones, unassuming rabbits, and getting stuck in branches. But hey! He kept trying and got better and better and soon enough he was able to get that arrow on the target.
He's still practicing and getting better, and when he grows up, as the title of the piece suggests, he wants to be a fully trained bow-and-arrow wonder-raccoon. ^.^
Consists of all the lovely stuff: Violins, Cellos, Marimba, Glockenspiel, Xylophone, Piano, Tubular Bells, Harp, Clarinet, English Horn, Celesta, and generic percussion.
