Envenomate

Part 3 of 3
The titles of all three pieces are from a verse of Hollow by Cloudeater
Yes, all three have the same background in a different color. I did this on purpose; it's my room. They're all different sides of me, after all, so I wanted them to be in a surrounding that belongs to me.

3001 is currently the only known host of a Fehrr to have developed a sort of symbiotic relationship with their parasitic hijacker. Most hosts have to be saved from their Fehrr, but Raptor and REAPER have managed something beneficial to both sides... most of the time.

REAPER has a ready and constant source of the energy it feeds on when not in corporal form-- rage. Raptor's anger issues work in its favor, feeding it daily, and it has no need to detach and try to locate a new host.

Raptor in turn has their excess anger siphoned off, keeping it from hitting the boiling point for the most part. And when Raptor can't handle things any more, can't keep themself under control, or is too furious to care, they willingly give up control of their own mind and body to the Fehrr. Eventually, REAPER either tires itself out or Raptor gets their own emotions in line enough to wrest control back from REAPER.

Having a Fehrr isn't entirely beneficial to Raptor, though. REAPER still takes control often on its own, forcing 3001's body through the horrific and painful physical change that accompanies the switch in control. Switching back leaves Raptor physically weakened, and even with their remarkable healing ability it takes several days to recover from the two transformations.

And, pending my asking the Fehrr creator, the switch has occurred so many times between the two that it is leaving physical signs affecting Raptor's general appearance.

Anyway, this image is of the beginning of a willing switch; soon Raptor will be changing; the black ichor is already dribbling from their mouth, nose, and eye; their markings are slowly fading into REAPER's colors; the spines are beginning to push through Raptor's back; and their ears are beginning to take on the Fehrr's signature shape.
