Chapter Fourty:Redeem Thy Sins [Dark Epilouge]
and "Ten Years Later..." [Ending]

Sillias cracked his knuckles as he stood in the arena facing a naga; which was a new creature to their world.
the red canine had worked it out with the military and law forces, he was to fight for the entertainment of the masses in repent of his destructive deeds as Bedlam Sillias.
in return, he was given a right to stay in Gentiki and was supplied with food each week.
a pretty good deal, in his opinion.

the announcer stepped into the ring; a Buki jaguar in referee clothing.
"welcome one and all to the Cypher Station arena! tonight, we pit the legendary master of destruction Sillias 'The Red Terror' Jenlid, against Goib- a Bio-construct based on Earth's 'Hindu' mythology!"

the crowd roared with excitement at the two giants in the ring.

"as you all know, this arena is a legal giant zone here on Gentiki, and there's ample shielding for our kind so you can all spectate in peace!!"
another roar of excitement, this time with more hype.

Sillias grinned and raised his arms, maving V's with his fingers as the crowd hyped even further.
"y'all wanna see me thrash 'im don'cha?"

a roar of 'yeah!' came from the crowd.

Sillias grinned crazily and turned to the naga.
"best o' luck, snake-dude."

Goib nodded and both fighters bowed to eachother.
the announcer fled the ring in a flying platform and called into the microphone "have at it, boys!"

Sillias very much enjoyed this 'punishment', it let him get his need to fight out, and people liked to watch, so it was win-win!

Goib's tail lashed out and wrapped around his leg, making the dog gasp as he was thrown into the air.
he stared at the naga and pooled a little energy in his feetpaws.
the air at his feet rippled like the surface of water and he sprung off it as if it was solid.
with a mighty CRACK he headbutted the naga and spilt blue blood from the creature's nose.
the crowds cheered.
Goib's tail whipped up and the spade made a gash in Sillias' shoulder, spilling his devilish black blood.
the crowd was hyping further.

Sillias spun in midair and splayed his limbs, releasing blasts of energy that created a shockwave from his body.
Goib stumbled back.
"NOW!" Sillias yelled as he hit the ground and lunged at the naga.
BAM!, he hit the creature with a heavy punch to the head and the annuncer sounded a bullhorn.
"that's that! Sllias wins!!"
the crowd cheered and chanted the red canine's name as he soaked up the applause and took a victorious pose.

afterwards, he put his public clothes back on and went out into the town area outside of Cypher.
he found an expected friend waiting for him.

Kori sighed and smiled at the red canine in the baggy white clothes looking at him with a grin.
"really? white trackies and a baggy longsleeve?"
Sillias raised an eyebrow "what's wrong with it? this was fine back in my day."
the fennec laughed "your time was an eon ago, you look like a bum or a douchebag, Red"
the red dog scowled momentarily before grinning broadly.
Kori rolled his eyes "look, just come with me and let's get you looking respectable, at least."
he turned and suddenly found Sillias' arms around his neck.
"wh-" Kori was surprised "what the hell are...?"
he felt the canine's heavy head on his shoulder "I'm hugging you, duh."
the fennec felt himself blush slightly "hey... c'mon, get off... people are starting to stare..."
Sillias laughed and stepped to the side, letting him go "let me have some fun." he pouted playfully.

"I'm your handler," Kori reminded him "it's my job now to make sure you stay under control, and, to kill you if nessicary... remember?"
the two started down the street side by side, navigating the crowds the best they could.
"I remember," Sillias sighed, and Kori could see the dissapointment in his face... did he maybe miss destroying things? nevertheless the canine continued "but I don't think... I mean, well..."
Kori grabbed Sillias' shoulder and looked him in the eyes.
"what, Red, what is it?"
he saw Sillias take a deep breath.
"you don't want to kill me, do you?"
Kori pulled Sillias into an alley and out of earshot of the public.
he felt his heart pounding like a jackhammer, that topic wasn't easy for him to consider... he'd grown quite oddly attached to the monster that was Sillias.
he had no clue why, but the thought of ending the red dog's life was now terrifying when it had once seemed perfectly good.
"Re-- I mean, Sillias..."
the dog tilted his head.
Kori swallowed nervously "the idea of killing you... scares me."
"though, you wanted to when we met."
"I don't get it, but I think--"
he was silenced as the red canine's paw shut his mouth.
"I get ya. we're kinda friends now, yeah?"
Kori shrugged, he wanted to answer, but even if Sillias let his muzzle go, he doubted he'd find the right words.
Sillias' pendant started glowing, catching their attention.
Sillias frowned "that's... not good."
Kori grabbed the canine's wrist and ran.

they managed to reach the warehouse they were using as a place to live, and got inside.
the pendant flashed and Sillias expanded to giant size and took on a crystaline form.
Kori laughed "y'know, I forget you're a gemdog sometimes!"
the big red crystaline canine chuckled and lay down "I am the shiniest thing you'll ever talk to"
Kori climbed up onto Sillias' knee as he removed the baggy shirt and tossed it aside, and Kori procceeded to move to the canine's chest as he took an organic quality.
Sillias's big red paw covered him like a furry blanket as he lay amidst the red fur of his chest.
"you're sure ya don't mind bein' like this, Korigaan?"
Kori felt himself getting tired "meh, you're a suitable bed... I just wonder how any chicks I bring in'll react to me livin' with a monster?"
Sillias shifeted around, getting comfortable "eehhh, does it matter? there's only room in my heart for my beloved... and I've only had one of those."
the pendant shone and mist poured out of it, surprising both of them as the vapourous form of a lioness in a grey lace dress appeared above them.
"E-Evarau?!"
she smiled and floated down to Sillias' chest.
"hi, Naggie!" she giggled "you're looking like you're healthy. strong, too!"
Kori peered at her intently, his altered eyes picking up on something.
"she's just like you said you were before you revived..."
Sillias smiled "think y'can make 'er a new body?"

Kori laughed "I'll try, but I don't think I'm skilled enough! ... although... maybe my step bro could help."

the three laughed and talked for a while, going over the theory of reviving Evarau.

meanwhile...

Ian could see everyone with his power as the watcher, and it seemed that everything was finally perfect.
he lay back on the couch, wings unfurled and hugging Amelia lovingly.
"well, Amm, it looks like there's no more to worry about. even Ben's stepbrother and Sillias are abiding the law, and in a week thee's Ben and Lily's wedding..."

Amelia held the angel tightly and purred "yeah, Lil's asked me to be a maid of honour, but I dunno who the ringbarer is."

Velian padded in "I know, mum!"
they looked at him curiously.
"uncle Benson made Mr Korigaan his best man, and I think Ciril's the ringbarer." the Ancat said happily.
he sat with them as the candles flickered and their flames went from orange to gold.
Amelia hugged them both "I love you two so much"
"I love you too, mum!"
"Mon Amour, Tis you I adore"

she and Velian purred while Ian smiled, together as a family, and as 'the pack', they could overcome all hardship.

they were invincible.

Ciril adjusted his glasses as he ran almost tripping on his brother's tail as they rushed.
"crap crap crap crap! we can't be late!" Virlan panicked.
Ciril cringed "late on our first day of highschool... FML, major FML!"

the two foxcat brothers, now adolescents at the age of fifteen and attending Feauxeau secondary school, had forgotten to set their alarms.
they ran through the rush-hour Buki streets of V:Omni, an all-sizes colony set up in Virada seven years ago, but were still going to be late.
Virlan looked out to the larger Giki streets outside the pipeline.
"Cir, we'll make it if we get a faster ride, get me?"
Ciril nodded and they went out a Bi-port; a shielded gap in the piping that let Bi-sizers get in and out quickly.
he expanded to Giki size and grabbed his brother, then resumed sprinting.

they managed to get to the huge decorated white building with minutes to spare, just as a yellow cat flew in.
Ciril returned to his smaller size and they greeted the winged cat.
"hey there cuz! you forget the alarm, too?"
Velian rubbed his head embarrassedly "yeah... hey, you guys seen 'em yet?"
Ciril looked to the front of the school building and pointed "Cambion at three o'clock."

Radin grinned as the foxcats and Ancat ran up beside him in the pipeline.
"hey guys! thought you weren't gonna make it!" the snow leopard laughed, his long head fur tied up in a ponytail at the back. "how've you been?"
"great!" Virlan answered "how're things with Viki?"
a little female leott appeared on Radin's shoulder, her bright and energetic blue eyes shone with happiness "thanks for asking, Vir! never better!"
Radin grinned "sometimes it seems unreal that our dads got you genobuilt, Viki, but I'm glad to have my little sister here!"
the bell rang.

Ciril panicked "aaagh! c'mon, remember what happens if we're late!"
he and Virlan hurried inside.

the world is a better place, the timeline of chaos is erased... the people of Xlenari live in peace now...
but you know what they say...

The end is only a new beginning!

"that's it! that's the BK saga completed!! jeez, it took all year to write it and put it up!
but even so... I do feel happy that it's complete. Heck, I had so much fun with it, I might even make a third series one day! because even though this is the end of TFF, I don't feel like I've absolutely done everything I can with Xlenari and everyone on it...
