So, I was introduced to furries by my second girlfriend, who was a pink cat (I no name names). She would frequently pet my head, and say, "Good girl." whenever she was happy with me and she'd rub my belly too. I used the little things she would say and do to and with me to come up with this "character". First, since she called me her pet dog, I had to be a dog. Emily came from a female version of my great grandfather's middle name, which I may have been called several times. Gray came from her pet dog who was very gray. He was so sweet and snuggly and lovey and very happy go lucky. I broke up with her long ago, yet I still keep the nickname and I still keep the "pet dog" thing.
