I decided that having a (semi)realistic style wasn’t as important as good composition. Here I only outlined the foreground- and I did that in pen, in contrast to having all of it lined in pencil like the original, for a cleaner look. I tried to make the window a clearer barrier, and tried to color more neatly overall. Also, I lowered the focal point quite considerably and made the background less distracting.

I'm very happy with this version!
