I made myself a new con badge because I’m too embarrassed to admit that I can’t understand half the things said to me. Hopefully some people will notice it and understand the random conversation we’re having. Originally I was going to put something like “Sorry? I have hearing loss” but then I realised I could squeeze some puns in and puns make everything better (I also debated “Pawlease speak up” and “Pawlease speak clearly” for the last line, but in my experience people just shout instead, which is not helpful at all. I’m hoping “Pawlease be patient” won’t do that as much).

My brother gave me some bronze pigment in payment for painting out the scratches on his phone. You can’t really see it in the photo but it’s a bit like gold leaf, but copper bits, and it shines beautifully around the edges and the text.
