A very happy birth-day to Ted...Ted Geisel, to be exact...better known as Dr. Seuss! He's loved the world over, but I find him especially special because his books remind me that it's OK to be weird. In fact, he thought weirdness was wonderful--he thought it was the spice of life...just like I do!
Anyway, this particular picture is based on a scene from a rare (and very weird) animated special from the 80's called "The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat". After a wild car chase with the Grinch, the Cat, now safe and sound, sings a song to himself that goes a little something like...
🎶In this world, of complexitous complicatation...
In this world, of peculitous puzzle-ma-zation...
In this world, of reduckulous ruffulization...
There comes a time for....relaaax......IFication!
Your life's full of boulders, but shrug your should-oulders, just shrug! Your! Should! Ould! Ers!......Rrreeeeeeeeeellllllllllllax.🎶
What a nice and fun reminder of what we all need to do sometimes...and Ted will have some birth -day relaxification with his sweet-heart this year, because Audrey Geisel has passed on late last year (R.I.P.) and has finally joined her husband in the after-life. I don't know about you, but I think that's a wonderful thing!
Anyway, happy birth day, Dr. Seuss! I hope it's a good one!
