Because I'm Mairead, Lunar New Year (also known as Chinese New Year, which was on February 5th, for those who don't know) had completely slipped my mind until somebody gave me a Lunar New year greeting, and so I quickly got to work on a delightful pixel art that I hoped wouldn't take very long, but by the 7th, I was only half-way done with this. So I vowed to get it finished and looking spectacular by today, 10 days after the holiday in question.
(That's my new rule--if I don't get a picture finished in time for a holiday [which I often don't, because I have a bad habit of getting distracted], I'd up-load it 10 days later instead.)
So happy Lunar New Year, everybody! This picture is one of two parts, and in the second part, I'll explain some cool facts about this ceremonious occasion!
