Thanks for the reply! And not to worry - it has been a while since I had posted this, and since then I got a raise (but only because I had asked). I just paid off another portion of my student loan, but there's still quite a bit to go. I still haven't moved out, but I'm able to get by for now. I had thought about doing commissions at one point, and I suppose that is always an option if I need it, but I'm so busy right now with work and life that I haven't had time. In any case I appreciate the encouragement! I hope things are going well for you as well!

the frustration is understandable. especially if you're seeking independence. sometimes i wonder if me not going to college was a blessing in disguise as all I hear recently is how people have gone to college only to be disappointed when they finally graduate and left with a ball and chain called "Student Loan". I'm sorry this has happened to you, and I wish there was some way I could help. The only honest advice I could give at the moment though is to not give up looking for a fair paying job. Keep applying, keep throwing your name and resume out there and be persistent. I hate how applying for jobs works now a days as everything is done online and electronically. The advent of technology has hindered our humanity and we leave it up to computers to filter through acceptable candidates. But just keep at it. eventually someone will see your potential and give you the opportunity you deserve.
