For the past few months, I and the ex-with-benefits have been working on a pitch for a sci-fi cartoon. It's called "Parallax", and you can see a lot more of its development process by checking out its tag on my blog. The tl;dr of it is "funny-animal Star Trek, except every other episode is from the perspective of the Klingons". This is version 2 of the Technarcracy away team that we focus on.

Edward: A pop star bat, who has joined the Space Army because the entertainment conglomerate that owns him thinks it's a good career move for him. Respawns: 1.

Noah: A bespoke Goldblood unicorn from the Union's Heart. Sleek, sexy, and super-calm - he's physically unable to become angry. Also Kurt's boyfriend. Respawns: 4.

Kurt: The team's leader. Self-sacrificing and heedless of danger. Possibly running away from certain fears. But another week in Dead Bay is nothing to this birb. Also Noah's boyfriend. Respawns: 12.

Valerie: A mute but charming cat. Irrevocably bonded to a few bits of strange Old Empire tech that ate her speech centers. She and her brainlinked handdrones are responsible for the works of art that are the squad's Combat Armatures. Respawns: 0.

Atber: A gator from the Ghost Halls who treats his entire life like a speedrun. Entirely stock parts. Takes damage to save time. Respawns: 22.
