FUNNYBUNNY
So back in January I found a rather bedraggled plush bunny toy at a local Salvation Army, and naturally I had to take it home and turn it into a creepy rabbit mask. I worked on it over the past month, and it is now complete. I had fun stitching it together using every last scrap of material available. Once put together with the wardrobe, he would be quite happy in a haunted attraction or some other spooky place, creeping about making weird noises. I’d like to find a cheap portable voice modulator that I can wear under the mask so that I can pitch bend my voice into horrific electronic high notes, with a lot of quavering and other nonsense. Oh, that would be so much fun!
See the entire gallery on tumblr, and as always... enjoy!
Impressive, you may want to loose the rope, it distracts from the overall effect.
A note on lighting: for this kind of thing a strong backlight may help. Go Kubrickian.
I was going for a very grainy effect in this photo. Shot with a DSLR at 3200 ISO, then exposure boosted by roughly a stop in Photoshop. For this and other Creepy character imagery, I want to evoke a sense of something emerging from the shadows, or ones sub-conscience. Very different from my usual way of approaching material, which is actually more influenced by Kubrick, whose compositions I highly admire.
Certainly a lot more methods to explore with these strangers!
