Conatus, Gravitas: DrGravitas

This is the first post of my Conatus Series! Very excited about this idea. Conatus is planned to be a series of related commissions, from different artists. They'll have a very loose sequence, though probably won't be uploaded anywhere near in order. Though, amusingly the first available to upload is among the earliest of the sequence. It is adjacent to my comic series though not deeply connected.

I haven't decided if I want to do a story-like write up, summary, or try to let the pictures tell story itself. Really, there's not a whole lot of story to this series. Conatus is more of an exploration and celebration of basic science and technologies. This sequence lays out the latter goal, starting with this first of three pictures by the very talented TomTC. TomTC was a real pleasure to work with! They really hit it out of the park with this one, my favorite of the three!
