dog head practice

DragonsAndVideoGames

decided to do a small art practice/challenge- draw a bunch of heads, with restrictions: do as many as possible in one sitting without tabbing away, no erasing, limit undo use, avoid the selection tools (had to use em a few times bc sometimes we put the heads too close together to sketch, but they were never used to adjust proportions or move details), and no reference (perfectionism would've gotten in the way trying to make it Perfectly Accurate otherwise).

tbh, the real challenge was to draw all this without tabbing away. gotta say, the adhd DID NOT like that- we're used to constantly bouncing between tasks, so focusing on just this one thing for ~20 minutes was. really really unpleasant, bordering on physically painful. tried to go for longer, but the discomfort was transitioning into anger rapidly and there was a high risk of the pen just getting pitched into a wall. the heads were also getting sloppier and it was really hard to keep focused. overall, not a fun time, had to stop early.

still kinda twitchy and irritated. hoping to do more of these in the future, if only to work on our stamina/focus. as for the heads themselves, some look okay, some are just Bad. none are really quite where we wanna be. need to get better an angled views, they're Hard.
