Sparkster arrived to late & held the only father he ever knew as he Died & He vowed he'd catch Axel ... But his kind heartedness made him question if he could kill him ...

** because Axel & Sparkster are about the same age & the fact they were both orphans suggests they may have been Brothers , which was further hinted at at the end of the Genesis version of Rocket Knight II when Axel's helmet is broken revealing he has the same hair Color & style which in cartoon or other animated entertainment suggest relationship **
