Within the Underdark, many creatures and abominations crawl and wait, they stalk and hunt, among them lies the Mind Flayers, creatures of greater intellect, psychic abominations that feed on the minds of men, creatures that dominate and enthrall those without will into doing their bidding with a single stare, their parasites eating away at their host's brain, replacing it and changing the host for their ceremorphosis..

Then there are purple dragons, they also stick to the inviting void of the Underdark, they are also masters of the psychic realm and even their breath destroys the mind, they dominate and enthrall, just like Flayers, they are quite related

Sometimes the Flayers find non-humanoid hosts for their parasites, sometimes powerful creatures fall at their feet, sometimes Dragons are hosts, and their ceremorphosis results in an abomination able to match the powers of the Elder Brain...

Some call them Brainstealers as their appetite is well-known

And you are in the presence of one now, an Ulitharid in fact, clear by the pair of long tendrils, and you have just fallen into it's hold, mental chains bind tightly, your body doesn't resist and what little will you had to fight, has been blown away, your fate is sealed indeed, but which shall it be?
