I might have been a bit impatient posting this. I finished this a few days ago, but fuck waiting for halloween! D:
I've always rather liked Tyranids from 40k (you know, the things that make the Zerg look like Disney princesses) and the Lictor's always had a place in my heart. Camouflage, giant blades, ridiculously long tail... I wonder why. For those of us who played DoW2, was also the hero I played most online. Nothing like flesh-hooking heroes to their doom :D
So hey. 'Kos. As a lictor.
At times I wish this style of work came more easily to me. Practice more I guess.
Art and character are my own
'Nids and 40k stuff in general are © to Games Workshop
finger's crossed for the new Sisters of Battle codex... maybe this time it'll actually be competitive at all. (and have newer than 3rd ed models.)
I get the impression its just an update to that dumb 5th edition magazine codex. No new models or releases yet, just an update to make them 'current'
Yay, let's drag the poor sisters through the dirt AGAIN.
Why does everyone else get power creep and the army I like loses (mostly useless) options D:
Well so far it seems to be an improvement, since its messing with squad sizes and point values and equipment and whatnot. Also they say it fixes faith to be good at all game sizes.
Oh good! I've only seen the Canoness teaser so far. She doesn't seem changed... at all... and 20 points more expensive. Maybe this whole 'warlord' system in 6th ed makes HQ choices better? I always found inquisitors to be kinda squishy pointsinks and Canonesses only good for Martyr-meltabombing tanks. (Then again, 1500~pts value was the usual for my gaming group)

Here's hoping lictors are good in the next codex.
Really nice work :)
