Tsunimaru is a perpetual, fluffy ball of energy, always ready to get up and go at a moment's notice. His enthusiasm is infectious (or obnoxious, depending), though he may have trouble plowing through more intellectual activities, such as learning to read, math, etc. He gets through these subjects through sheer stubbornness, if not aptitude. He may not have yet cultivated the meditative qualities of the monk, but his lust and appreciation for the present moment is pure, with all his senses seemingly constantly at full blast. This leaves little time for pausing to reflect, and his impulsiveness may get him in trouble. When he does make a mistake he feels remorse, not meaning to hurt anyone.

Even at this young age, Tsunimaru has a strong sense of compassion, and his Shisa instincts compel him to feel protective over those he considers weaker or frailer than himself. He's a very curious young boy, and finds being at Alma Monster exciting and wondrous, never having encountered so many different people and creatures before. His feelings tend to be immediate and strong, so he develops bonds or aversions to others quickly, deciding in the moment whether he likes someone or not. It may take some time and familiarity for him to change his mind on these things.

History:
Tsunimaru has enjoyed a happy and supportive family life. His father is a Shisa (Japanese fuu dog), mother is a kitsune (Japanese nine-tailed fox). His father is robust and hearty, with a booming laugh and a warm smile. His mother is more demure, but powerful and compelling in her own quiet way. Tsunimaru's parents overlook and guard a prominent shrine in Japan, and Tsunimaru wants to become a monk to continue the tradition of warding off evil spirits.

Being the offspring of his parents, Tsunimaru has inherited a strong affinity for fire, as well as an aptitude for transformation. It is possible for him to change into a spirit-beast form, though at this point it's the size of a medium dog and he can only hold it for a few minutes at best. It takes great concentration, and afterwards he's tired and drained, needing time to rest. He may not have full conscious control over his actions in this state either, being controlled mainly by his emotions and instincts. However, this may simply mean he'll run around non-stop, unable to sit still.
