Some say...

...He never floofs the same way twice.

...And that in the event of an emergency, his pawpads can be used as a floatation device.

...All we know is, he's not the Stig, but he is the Stig's floofy blue dragon cousin.

Honestly I had to do this sort of thing sooner or later, didn't I? The Stig is the tame racing driver from the British automotive show Top Gear, and the car is the 2012 Renault Alpine A110-50 Concept. To my knowledge this car hasn't (yet) appeared on Top Gear, but when I saw it in person earlier that year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed I instantly fell in love. It seemed like an appropriate car for the Stig to pose in front of, the sort of thing he'd approve of.

Credit where it's due; like some previous drawings I've done featuring cars, the rough lines for the car were traced from a photo, in this case not my work, available here. Everything else is my own work. Also of note is that this picture marks my first attempt to produce a full drawing in The GIMP, as opposed to OpenCanvas which I've been using for years. I finally decided to take the leap and try and learn my way around the GIMP, being a much more powerful program. I'm getting on well with it so far, but the exploratory nature of this drawing is my excuse for leaving some of it looking a bit sketchy.
