If you're an old watcher, you might remember Pae, my alien furry treasure hunter and engineer. (she also appears as a character in Junifer, but I've never drawn her like that)
For a long time she adventured with her girlfriend, Zuelly, a human who was also an engineer. Unfortunately, things sort of just weren't feeling right for her anymore, and Zue wanted to settle down back on earth where she could use her engineering degree to have a stable life. Pae agreed, but the lack of excitement made her feel like she was living somebody else's life. Nothing on earth could fill that hole in Pae's heart, and because of it her relationship with Zuelly was straining. In the end, Pae's restlessness caused her to get into trouble with the law, which caused Zuelly's application for child bearing to be completely rejected.
Zuelly gave her an ultimatum: Pae had to put down being so childish, or leave. 

Having made a fool of herself, and severely hurt Zuelly's chances of being able to be the mother she had been talking about for years now, Pae packed her things into a hypercube. She left on a cold January morning, turning and waving one last time to the love she would never have again.
