Zenny hummed as he walked down the streets of a fairly large city. At a little past noon, he walked down the market distract where the people shopped for everything from food to clothes to exotic items. He smiled seeing all the different people walking or in carriages and marveled briefly in the distance at the huge castle in the center of the city.

“So cool!” He said quietly to himself. Unbeknownst to him, a skinny tiger cub watched him from the alleyway. Zenny’s unusual attire of a blue shirt and black pants mixed with his orange and white fur and red eyes made him stand out. It was even more obvious due to him being a kid with a bag in each hand of clothes and food.

The tiger followed him stealthily and waited until the right moment. When Zenny turned the corner, the tiger ran as fast as he could and snatched both bags from the fox. “What the… Hey! Rude!” Zenny called out as the tiger moved quickly and ducked into a back street, followed by up some barrel onto the roof, and finally into an alleyway several blocks away.

He panted and looked around the corner into the main street, finding no signs of the fox pup. He sighed then turned around to retreat to his hideout, only to pause and freeze when the fox pup stood right in front with a large smile. “Where is ya going? ~” He asked in a sing-song tone.

The tiger gasped and dropped everything, growled, and glomped the fox, earning a surprised yelp as the two went further into the alleyway. Zenny was pinned against the wall with the tiger baring his claws at him. “I don’t know how you were able to catch up with me so fast, but you’re not gonna follow me anymore!” He threatened.

Zenny held his hands up in surrender. “No need to be so mean. If you wanted some food or stuff, you could’ve just asked,” he reassured with his ears down.
“Listen here you little runt, I’m busy, you follow me again, or if I ever see your face around here again, you’ll be buried 10 feet underground. Got it?!” The tiger tossed Zenny to the ground, took the bags, and ran off again before someone else saw him.

Zenny sat up, pouted, fixed his shirt, and dusted himself. “Temper, temper,” he said to himself and stood up to watch the fleeing cat turn a corner.
The tiger ran halfway across the city and up a hill in the slum part of the city. Up on that hill was a large but decrepit shed. The tiger sighed and went inside after looking around to make sure he wasn’t followed.

Inside the shed were a few other cubs, two lions that looked like brothers, a fox, a bear, a raccoon, and a snow leopard. They all looked fatigued and malnourished. They seemed happy to see the tiger return and surrounded him when they smelled food.

“Whoa, how’d you get this stuff?” The leopard said as the tiger dropped the bag of clothes and food on the floor.

“Don’t worry about it. I’ll go out later tonight and see what else I can get,” the tiger reassured. The youngest brother lion and the small Tod went to the food first while the bear and raccoon checked the clothes. All of them froze when they heard a knock at the door.
