After a bout of illness, some heavy workloads, and all sorts of other stuff, I finished something! Hooray!
Here's Lewis from Mystery Skulls' "Ghost" video. (If you haven't seen it, check it out here. It's a fun tune with a great animation.)
I tried a few different things, mostly with coloring and rendering. I was originally going for something very realistic, but I scrapped it to try and keep it somewhat stylized like the song, which spurred a few ideas in my head. I'll have to keep them in mind for the future.
I had fun with it regardless. Hope it shows. Enjoy!

This is fabulous! I don't really know much about this, but I've seen tons of fanart recently! I love your dark, more realistic take on the character!

I don't know a whole lot about it either, like if there's more to it or something. I know a YouTube comment said the creator has more story to it, like names and such? But I only remember the names of Lewis and the dog, Mystery.
Beyond that, I know Tumblr went nuts about it all for a while! But most every image I saw is kind of... I don't know if "cute-sy" is the right word, but they stay true to the original artwork, maybe tell a story of the characters being friends and hanging out, or what-have-you. I didn't come across many, if any, realistic takes to the character, and wanted to try and fill the hole. It seems you and others really enjoy it, so mission accomplished! (Not hating on any fan art of the character, as a disclaimer! I love it all.)

From what I understand that people have said...the band has existed for awhile and this is a fan-made video based on one of this band's songs? To go to such great lengths to create the animation means this fan must really have loved the song!
Yeah, most fan-art I've seen have had a cute, pop-anime look to it. It is cool to see a different take!
