Because when Deriaz doesn't know what to draw but feels the need to get something done, he draws knights! I like doing them because I think you can see a clear progression through them that I'm really starting to get a handle on what I'm doing. This lady blows the Herald out of the water.
I wish I could find some good sources for women's medieval armor from various cultures. My google results for this kind of stuff are all video game-y and I hate "boob armor", so if you have any good sources about it, I would love to take a peek!

Interesting merger of two fantasy systems - plate armour from Dungeons & Dragons with broad sword from Final Fantasy VII.

Haha, the size of the sword was actually a bit of an oversight! I didn't realize I made it so large until I had it in digital and then was like, "Well, the image is drawn. Whatever, man. Let's run with it. It looks neat to me!"
