A painting for jraintheleviathan. When it's so easy to tower and lord over those smaller than you, sometimes the more powerful, truly strong thing to do is to humble yourself.
There's a lot I could say in this one, and for "Macro March" of all things that this gets finished during. Jrain wrote an intriguing synopsis when he put forward this idea alongside two others. I wouldn't want to betray any of what he said, especially since some of it is so personal, so when he uploads it, I will need to defer myself to his writing!
That I was given permission to draw Jrain in such a way means the world to me. This was one of the scarier projects I've been asked to do,, because it carries such a weight to it, I feared messing it up. But gosh, I'm so glad I found the courage to go for it. Thank you so much for allowing me to do this for you, Jrain!!

Critiques welcomed as always!
Mentioned it above, but I definitely was nervous with those trees. Really gotta sit down and study them a bit more, same with bushes and foliage. They're almost abstracts for me, and I struggle in that realm!! I'm so glad people are enjoying how it came out though. Thank you so much!!
Considering my level is cotton-candy shaped cartoon trees.............I think the trees look pretty good. chuckle But I understand what you mean--striving for your background to be the same level [of detail] as your main focus of the drawing is a good thing to work on and strive for! :)
You're most welcome! :D
