Satre by Deriaz

Satre

Deriaz

A commission for Satrekuhn of Twitter of his hellhound/chow-chow character that he's currently tweaking and redrawing. A bit of fluff, a bit of chub, a bit of tongue, a bit of rage. A really fun character to work with!

Satre's a super kind dude and was the first one to grab a commission from me at AC. This was also a commission that I went way overboard with -- this kind of detailing on a grayscale would normally be something a client could ask for more time on to get everything super crisp. But when Stigmata showed me how texturing brushes worked, I ended up repainting over a lot in order to stop from feeling like the character was "plastic" despite being fluffy. And then I sort of... Just kept going. Oops! I can't say I'm unhappy with the result though, and I know Satre is pleased, too~

Thanks for trusting me with your character, Satre!!

Critiques welcomed as always!

(This upload also reminds me I need to update my commission info here on Weasyl! I'll need to get on that. Oops!)

I really like how soft the fur looks! I'd say the texturing brush talk really helped...it looks really plush! :)

Thank youuuu. I was getting a bit worried by the end that I was going overboard, or maybe not going enough? Like a back and forth. I'm excited to see how it'll help me in future commissions.

      Thanks, keirajo! <3

The rendering is amazing detail that deserves to be in a movie
