Another grayscale commission, this one for kemowilddawg of FurryNetwork / Twitter of their beefy moth character, Cleo. Someone's been hitting the weights, and looks like he fits right in with the competition. If he doesn't place top three at least, I'll be surprised.
This one clicked really quickly for me, and I had a ton of fun with it. When I saw the Second Life screenshots of this character, I knew this one would come out well. I'm super glad I was up for this challenge.

You don't see many moths, or at least I don't. I had to go for it. And thank you! I've been trying to remember to use solid patches of color/grayscale in my paintings to help give the eye some place to rest a bit, since I know my brushwork can be a bit chaotic. Sometimes I forget to do it at all, though. Oops!

Nice! Love the how you handled the shadow on the inner thigh and the brush strokes on the arm behind his head. What an interesting character!
