Snick-Snack by Deriaz

Snick-Snack

Deriaz

A commission for Kyraeus of his Pathfinder kobold, 'Snick-Snack'. A crazed little guy who you should watch your back around -- he's got a few tricks up his poncho.

I was super excited about this one, because of the stories above and having a hand in bringing this character more to life. He came together pretty quickly, and I'm incredibly pleased by the results. Snick-Snack seems pretty excited as well, though maybe about what he's about to blow up.

That jaw-line and snout are adorable. I want him in my party. :D

I have to assume he's a blast to have around. But being serious, every party needs a kobold.

In fact, actually, forget other races. Just a party of kobolds. The perfect team.

Such a good drawing, well done!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like.

(Ponchos on everyone. In fact, forget my comment above. A party of poncho-wearing kobolds. The NEW perfect team.)

A part of me is reminded of the Mad Bomber what bombs at midnight (or something like that) from "The Tick"! XD

Love your pencils on this! :D

Ah! The Tick! I always forget that existed. I really wanted to watch it during college, but I never found the time. My roommates highly recommended it though. One of these days, I'm going to remember and find the time.

Thank you, Keirajo, as always. <3!

The different incarnations based on the original comics are all fun. And the original comics are great, too! The old 90's cartoon tried to adapt as much of the comic as they could (but Edlund's stuff is a bit twisted and dark, probably not suitable for Saturday Morning Cartoons! XD). You should give it a shot. The 90's cartoon has limited DVD release (they edited out episodes on the releases), but it may be able to be found online. :) Also...though very short-lived and a bit odd, the live-action show with Patrick Warburton is pretty fun to watch, too! :D

        You're most welcome! :D

Oooh, I'll have a take a peek around. No comic shops, or even book stores with comic-y sections, near me though, so it might take me a bit to find any of it. But I'll give it a shot any time I see some comic books! The cartoon seemed like good fun -- think I saw... Three? episodes in college. Maybe two. Never picked up a comic of it, but I certainly won't turn it down if I see it.

Edlund's made a huge company based on his comic...now he has other writers and artists who do the newer "The Tick" comics, but they constantly reprint the old stuff by him. :) His company is New England Comics (NEC). There are things the cartoon could never mention about the Tick's past (his relationship with his wife and why he ran away from the mental institution--which is where the comic begins), so it's really great to fill in the backgrounds of the characters. The cartoon "jumps into" the story in the middle and just makes it a little less dark, but it's still tons enjoyable...they really got some good animators and voice casting for it! :D

Bombs must be his favorite thing. Explosions are probably #2. What a good day he's having~
