The next in a series of pieces between me and legally-psychotic. Once we had decided which person would do which addition, I was incredibly excited when I knew I would be making this one. From that very moment I knew exactly what to portray and how to execute it. Needless to say, my enthusiasm brought my skills to the table. I'm so proud in how good this came out. The shading I feel like is a milestone in my development as an artist.
In the story, Blitzmund is braving each and every day being imprisoned, for what reason he is unsure as to why. His hope is slowly fading as his memories of the outside are becoming a blur, but the only memory that remains strong is his love for his dear Starcédès. Meanwhile, in the outside world, Starcédès is informing Indinand that she will remain strong for Blitzmund until he returns, as she's unaware that he's been thrown into prison due to a scheme planned by Indinand, Rawglars, and Masquard de Villefort. So, to persuade her to favor him, Indinand lies and says that Blitzmund had died in an incident that never happened. This ultimately breaks Starcédès heart, and her optimism is shattered.
