Tabula Rasa

Deludedchimera

A windy overcast morning. A cabbit walked down a dirt covered road carrying a younger cabbit arms wrapped around each other. Both bodies bruised, the younger cabbit hands covered in blood as though they were shredded intensely, he choked back tears."Im sorry...I'm sorry..I'm sorry." The young one said aloud. The older cabbits body readying to give he moves ignoring the limitation. Hearing him repeat his apologies he remained quiet staying focused on moving forward. "I just wanted us like we use to...please just LEAVE..ME."

The young cabbit awakens from his slumber jumping from a desk when a male smacked a ruler against it. “Mr. Trap! This is not the wild or nap time, I advise you get it together if you want to stay here."
A teacher shouted to the cabbit, light chuckles scattered across the room of humans, as he passed papers around He seen his paper red ink written everywhere on the paper, corrections and X's front to back the teacher dismissed the class Entering the hallway the lights shut off. Ignoring the sheet folding it in his pocket, he gazed at his scarred knuckles for a minute. "That dream again..huh?"

Grabbing his materials he walked out groggy, stretched took a deep breath making his way out the school. A distracted short bull terrier in tune with his music, snapping his fingers to each track bumped into the cabbit. The terrier quickly apologized and noticed who it was. "Broooo, Aiden I been looking for ya. " The smiling terrier said taking his headphones off.

"Oh hey. Whats going on Nolan?" The cabbit lets out a big yawn, Nolan passes his mp3 to him. "Here you work so much duude Take some time to chill..relax, let the music flow in your soul swoosh swoosh. " Nolan waves his paws around attempting to explain how 'music works' Aiden couldn't help always smile and chuckle a bit at the terrier's easygoing mood, if only things were that simple for him he thought to himself.

"Heh, Alright dude I'll uh give it a shot..." Aiden noticed a sticky note on the terrier's back, Aiden pulling reading it "Key?" Nolan pats his head, something he remembered. "Oh yeaaaah..I dude think I took my roomies key “Nolan ponders as he begins walking away.”Let's chill together next time, oh and remember swoosh swoosh!" the terrier's shouted leaving the groggy cabbits side. Aiden smiled a bit seeing the little terrier cared for his wellbeing he proceeded home placing the headphones in his ears.

Midnight. An older cabbit stood in midst of a ring, hearing the roars of anthropomorphic's surround him, fighting against a larger set canine. The cabbit could only grin seeing his opponent exhausted straches and blood start to cover him while he is left with no wound on his body. Only the blood stained bandages that wrapped around his knuckles left from the canine.
"YOU.. COCKY LITTLE SHIT!" The canine barked as he charges the cabbit relentlessly attacking, punching, and biting all failed by a cabbits evasive maneuvering. With no time the canine to recover, the hooded cabbit jets in delivering the final blow right hooking the canine instantly knocking him out. The crowd erupted in excitement viewing last beast standing they begin chanting a name over and over."AVENGER,AVENGER,AVENGER!!" He heard their cries, continued to grin raising his crimson stained fist in the air walking out accepting their cheers.

Hours later the area was cleared. The cabbit counted his earnings seeming satisfied for now looking up he noticed someone relaxed leaned against a wall shadow surrounds the figure cautious, he pretended to ignore the presence readying to leave. "Avenger huh...interesting name.." The cabbits heard the stranger spoke ceasing his movements a moment." The beast who once lost all his fights back home, returns with a vengeance, could be a catchy idea. "The cabbit’s mood begun turning slightly sour recognizing where this was leading to. jeering the stranger coming out the shadow. "Lemme guess...you got a boss, and he sent ya to recruit me into some shit gang so he can say how big his dick is getting? Am I on the mark?"

An antlered wolf emerged from the shadow dressed for business, chuckled at the cabbits response. "My my, straight to the point, save me the trouble having to..." The cabbit continued to walk ignoring the horned wolf. "Ain't interested." The wolf smiled viewing the cabbit walking away from him. "You still want to find them don't you? Damien" The cabbit paused facing the grinning wolf, rushing his way quickly He knows who I’m looking for? He knows my name? No one should be aware.

The cabbit in his thoughts, paws forming into fist to make a strike at the wolf. "WHO THE FUCK DO YOU.."He roared, The wolf dodged the attack, shutting the lights off leaving them in darkness. "Let's keep in touch Damien… Oh and WELCOME.. TO THE BACKYARD!" The wolf's voice echoed from a distance, bursting outside, he attempted to follow the voice but the wolf went quiet, leaving Damian alone to who was he? How much does he know?

Paws in his pockets he focused getting home knowing he will meet the wolf once more. Walking pass a sign pass a sign scratched spray painted over by a name. 'The Backyard ‘the name animals gave this territory sneaking under a fence to a more welcoming sign arriving into human territory named 'Oliva'

Hours later Aiden viewed the stars in the night sky on a roof, lit cigarette in his muzzle hearing tunes the bull terrier gave him earlier. The older cabbit came on the roof having the same idea and seen his brother looked worn out, distracted, smoking. Quickly plucking the cigarette from Aiden’s muzzle.

"Hey!" The young cabbit shouted noticing who it was. "Aye what kinda shit is this? Thought we both promised not to smoke anymore." Damian lectures to the young cabbit who didn't have strength to argue back. Damian leaned against the wall looking at his brother he tapped the brick beside him signaling him to chat. "Alright nibbles c'mon on wats up? You normally don’t smoke unless somethings wrong."

Aiden sighed tilting against the brick next to his older brother calling the young cabbits nickname. "I don't know about this place...what if I can't make due here? I can’t keep up with school, work isn’t any better..mom could of done this better than me.." Aiden spoke with nerves shaking in his voice a bit. Damian leans back smoking Aiden’s cigarette.

“Ma loves ya and knowing her, she feel you’d do better here, our home was getting dangerous each day.." Adian looked at his older brother a moment. "She.. Gave me it all that she had in her will…Why didn't she give you anything? “Aiden asked. Damian went silent staring the young cabbits hands." Ma.. Had her reasons...and who’s better deserving than you?"

He responded rising from the wall."Don’t over think it man, you're tired it’s real late, I know you got work and that human shit to get at...get some rest nibbles you’ll feel better." Aiden nodded looking as he opened the roof entrance. "Damian..thank you.” Damian rubbed his saddened brothers head a bit, the sincere cabbit expressed gratitude. "No need to thank me, you got this..." smiling once more Aiden closed the door, leaving the older cabbit in his thoughts, he gazed his fist. "I swear to you Aiden..till my dying breath, I will be here for you this time.."
