That's some random astiquarius - my species of sirens from Azteem. They collect pearls because it's the most valuable thing in their the sea (they live in dead sea). The only way to please these creatures is giving them pearls if you refuse you'll be killed. They're extremely agressive, even towards themselves. They fight a lot to steal pearls from others.
