Commission for Luircin
My Koopa, Vern, and his koopa, Gillian, as animatronics.
Written by Luircin
When Bowser discovered the mechanization technology, he knew that his obsession was finally within his grasp. And who better to use it on than his consort and the general of one of his armies, Veronica? She was already slavishly loyal and strong, and this would make her stronger. And if one slavishly loyal mechanical nightmare is good, why not two? It certainly silenced Gillian's sobbing when she joined Veronica as a mechanical destroyer.
What he didn't know was what happened to the minds of those trapped within these metal bodies. How base desires were multiplied three, four, scores of times over. How rationality slipped away. The total lack of restraint in pursuit of one goal.
Nightmare Veronica tore through the defenses of the Mushroom Kingdom with no difficulty. Yet, Bowser didn't understand that Veronica's base desire of blind obedience was no match for her desire to possess him as her own. And to her mind, stripped of her soul's fetters, there was one obstacle standing in her way.
When Nightmare Veronica delivered her quarry to Bowser as ordered, what else would anyone have expected other than attacking her in a rage? Which he and Junior did, intent on the ultimate punishment for Veronica's betrayal.
And then they discovered the overwhelming urge that lay within Nightmare Gillian's mind, now freed from timidity, morality, and sanity: Protect Veronica at all costs.
So now, if you should visit Bowser's castle in hopes of finding the treasure that lies there, or maybe out of simple morbid curiosity, or in the case of camera-weildingLakitu Mike here, to gather evidence of what happened, you should know what is in wait for you. Two metallic bodies, shuffling through the abandoned hallways. Waiting. Waiting for a command that will never arrive. Knowing only that they must protect this castle.
But at least they are together.
With you.
