4. The Serpentangle:
A dense jungle in the Northwest region of Cognizant. Tt is a warm, tropical, and humid place with cool nights, and is the home to thousands of snakes of varying size. At its center is an old zigguraut said to have once been the place where the head of Jormungandr sleeps. Be forewarned, the jungle may be soothing, but spend too long, and your accommodations might be in the coils of something much larger than you.
5. The Modal Mesas:
A series of large plateaus and mesas with a large canyon in the center. The rocks are a reddish gold at certain times of the day, and any population centers here are quite sparse. There are mining colonies, military bases, oil derricks, and construction sites out here hoping to try and develop a large casino to attract workers. Careful, the employers here are looking for any excuse to get you on the clock.
6. The Placid Dunes:
A sun bleached desert with small villages peppered throughout. Large mounds of extremely fine sand surround an oasis and an elegant alabaster statue of a jackal holding a priceless diamond that is said to purify the waters. Be wary of the sands, some have sinkholes that lead to underground temples that rumor claims to hold sleeping gods wishing to spread their worship once again.
7. Facility 18:
This cold, pollution choked Industrial sector was once the home to an AI that sought to take over the world with its mass produced robots before a virus hollowed out its programming. Now it sits in silence, ready to produce again for any would be drone manager or ambitious hacker. Will they make a new army of drones, or just use its many factories and production facilities as an excuse for cheap labor?
Transit is available via Roads, high speed Magrails, or Drake stations, Where you can fly to the more remote regions in the dense forests of Cognizant.
We thank you for choosing Cognizant as your home away from home, and we hope to see you drifting in bliss soon.
