PROJECT COGNIZANT: Territory Map

Darkwitt

Hypnovember #ProjectCognizant
Welcome to Cognizant, a small land mass in the atlantic ocean a thousand kilometers from Africa. Here, Darkwitt observes from atop his spire, watching those who would claim the territory work their machinations.

It is divided into seven territories:

1. The Focault:
A sprawling cyberpunk Metropolis with all the amenities and points of interest you could possibly find. A blend of futuristic features and modern sensibilities, it is the shining jewel that can be seen from all corners of Cognizant. Most city structures and the main transit center will be within the walls of this city. And the outer perimeter is protected by a thick barrier. At its center is the nexus of Darkwitt's operations: A twisty spire called the Pendulum. Even at the furthest points of Cognizant, you can see the Pendulum on the horizon, watching from afar.

2. Ayurveda:
The Port territory near the southeastern border. It serves as a port of entry, but also as a resort. Offering transit of supplies in the industrial sector, asa place of leisure and relaxation near its transit hub. The area has dozens of high quality beaches, bungalows, and five star hotels, with a hot spring and Casino not far off. This is also the home of the flag cruise ship for Cognizant: The Great Zen.

3. The Emerald Folium:
A Wizard’s Tower emanates mysterious magics into the surrounding forest. Making the foliage and trees enchanted with otherworldly magics. It’s a gorgeous landscape where the trees seem to resemble the iridescent film of a soap bubble. At the far Northern edge  of its territory is a massive magical lake, and a waterfall cresting over a large river.

4. The Serpentangle:
A dense jungle in the Northwest region of Cognizant. Tt is a warm, tropical, and humid place with cool nights, and is the home to thousands of snakes of varying size. At its center is an old zigguraut said to have once been the place where the head of Jormungandr sleeps.  Be forewarned, the jungle may be soothing, but spend too long, and your accommodations might be in the coils of something much larger than you.

5. The Modal Mesas:
A series of large plateaus and mesas with a large canyon in the center. The rocks are a reddish gold at certain times of the day, and any population centers here are quite sparse.  There are mining colonies, military bases, oil derricks, and construction sites out here hoping to try and develop a large casino to attract workers. Careful, the employers here are looking for any excuse to get you on the clock.

6. The Placid Dunes:
A sun bleached desert with small villages peppered throughout. Large mounds of extremely fine sand surround  an oasis and an elegant alabaster statue of a jackal holding a priceless diamond that is said to purify the waters. Be wary of the sands, some have sinkholes that lead to underground temples that rumor claims to hold sleeping gods wishing to spread their worship once again.

7. Facility 18:
This cold, pollution choked Industrial sector was once the home to an AI that sought to take over the world with its mass produced robots before a virus hollowed out its programming. Now it sits in silence, ready to produce again for any would be drone manager or ambitious hacker. Will they make a new army of drones, or just use its many factories and production facilities as an excuse for cheap labor?

Transit is available via Roads, high speed Magrails, or Drake stations, Where you can fly to the more remote regions in the dense forests of Cognizant.

We thank you for choosing Cognizant as your home away from home, and we hope to see you drifting in bliss soon.

Here is the setting! You're free to use this locale however you like. choose a location, make one up, you are free to volunteer a location and idea that you can populate here. I have been contemplating writing summaries for all the locations but for the time being, this broad observation will have to do.

I hope this will be useful to you all!
